Among her favorite movies that highlight the value of positivity is The Pursuit of Happyness, the 2006 film that stared Will Smith. In the film, Smith's character, Chris Gardner, struggled with homelessness for a year after his wife left him and his venture into sales did not turn out well. What was initially a promising career in selling bone-density scanners quickly turned sour, as it financially breaks the family. Throughout Gardner's painful, difficult journey, he never showed signs of giving up, and in the end, thanks to his innate talent with numbers, his perseverance and his winning never-say-die attitude, he was able to emerge a successful stockbroker. He went on to form his own multi-million dollar brokerage firm.
